I "Heart" Chicken

I love to cook, and I love taking ingredients that are cheap and a little different to see what I can do with them. I experimented on some good friends last night. I think they're still my friends...

Papa, Look What I Made

Gavin called me outside to show me what him and his little friend had been building. They named him Marlboro man. And we wonder why the kids start to smoke at such a young age!

Hey Dad

" To point me to Christ when no one else will." We have no greater calling dads. This is a great little video. JESUS HELP ME!

I Love You Betty

We made cookies tonight, but not just any cookies. Gluten free chocolate chip cookies! We have a little girl with Celiac disease and this made her day. They actually taste really good! We will be bringing a bunch of these back with us to Ukraine. Emma will make sure of it!

Sping Cleaning

I love a good bonfire! I get it from my Mom and growing up in Maine. There's also no better way to clean up your yard in the spring. Once that fire's lit all I want to do is feed it and make it grow! All that stuff I thought about keeping (the just in case I might need it someday stuff) has no chance once I see those flames.

Being A Dad

A friend sent us this video and I must say I know how this guy feels! This reminded me of Emma so much! It's a funny clip!

Little Lions

Here's some video of the youngest group at our kids camp. They were called the "Little Lions."
We advertised the camp as a place where kids could learn English.
Here the little lions are trying to repeat a few words and they couldn't be cuter!

We're Sinking

Today Gavin came running in yelling "Papa, have you seen the new hole in the front yard?" Its been raining hard all day, which made for a pretty big sink whole in the middle of our driveway.
We're really thankful to God that we have this home! It's a huge blessing, I just can't believe how much work it is to keep up. Literally!

A Patriotic Friend

Happy 4th everyone!
This is my good friend Danny Foote who is so patriotic that he sent me a video of him wearing an American flag. He told me he wore it all day as a cape. Thanks Danny and Happy 4th of July to you too!
Another reason why Eyejot's the best!!
It keeps you connected to good friends.

In The Clouds

After dinner tonight we decided to lay in the grass and look at the clouds. The kids saw all kinds of stuff in them. It's not getting dark here in Ukraine till after 10 on these summer nights. We are enjoying them while they are here!

Time To Shave

I don't like to shave. I probably shave 4 times a week on average. It's definitely in style not to shave. I'm thankful for that trend. But, something happened the other day that has caused me to shave more. I was out with a few others in the neighborhoods around our church inviting kids to an upcoming children's festival. Well, I came upon a bunch of kids playing football (soccer) in the street. I started talking with one of them and a bunch of them came over to see what was going on. All of a sudden a Babushka (grandma, but that word just doesn't do her justice) comes out and gives me the meanest look you could ever imagine! Then one of the kids ran up to her and showed her the invitation that I had given him. When she saw the invitation, I could see the relief come over her face! I went over to her and she told me that she was very glad that I was just giving out invitations and not drugs. She then told me that she was sure I was a drug dealer/user when she first saw me. So that's why I'm shaving more these days... Oh, and Babushka did bring her grandson to church the next day.
